An Expert Witness can be crucial in successfully defending or pursuing a claim, to determine an issue, or settle a monetary award. The advice of the expert can assist the parties in reaching an early settlement saving considerable time and expense.
Lawrence-Vacher have considerable experience of preparing reports and acting in the capacity of Expert Witness on a wide range of property related issues, including negligence claims, valuation issues, boundary disputes and building construction disputes for both commercial and residential clients.
We have provided evidence before Tribunals, Independent Experts, Arbitrators the County and High Courts. We also act as a single joint expert where required by the Court.
The obligations and duties placed upon an Expert before any judicial body are set out in the Civil Procedure Rules for Expert Witnesses. Our reports and evidence are prepared in accordance with these rules and in compliance with RICS practice statement and guidance note ‘Surveyors Acting as Expert Witnesses’.
