Lawrence-Vacher undertake boundary surveys for record purposes, land registry plans and where the position of the boundary is in dispute.
We consult the client and, where necessary, the client's solicitors to agree the brief and the extent of the survey. We examine available deeds, land transfer plans, indentures, Land Registry plans or similar legal documents to determine the degree to which the legal boundary is defined. We carry out a measured survey to record site features and prepare plans of the boundary or boundaries in question.
Where required, we negotiate with the other side or their surveyor and, if necessary, attend at Court and give evidence as either single or joint Expert Witness.
The Land Registry requires plans submitted with an application to register land or buildings to be prepared in a specified format. Lawrence-Vacher are familiar with the Land Registry's requirements and are able to prepare plans containing the information necessary to enable your solicitor to complete the registration.
